It's a Great Day!

The Yiddish Policemen's Union by Michael Chabon is now available in the US! It won't be published here in the UK for another month or so, but the knowledge that somewhere out in the world there is another Michael Chabon novel waiting to be read is comforting. And the reviews are good thus far, so I'm hopeful that it will be the satisfying, moving, clever story that wowed me in The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

I've preordered it on Amazon here. And should have just enough time to finish it before my pre-ordered Harry Potter arrives.

Have you read it yet? Please tell me it's wonderful.

I am afraid to get it until school is over. I don't think I'll be able to hold out though. He did an interesting intervew on NPR last week; I bet you can find it online.

I'll look for it. He is my secret literary crush. Actually, it's not secret at all. I love him. And not in a superficial kind of way.

I have a huge crush as well. Ever since Mysteries of Pittsburg.

Time for me to head back to Amazon. Love the Chabon Chabon too. K&C was staggeringly excellent.

Why not order it from Amazon US and have it shipped to you? They'll ship worldwide. That's how I've been buying books the past couple of years, since they're so much more expensive here in Australia.

I have yet to read any Chabon, although I've wanted to. I studied Yiddish in uni, so I might have to give this one a try.

I've thought of that ws, but I figure if I wait a month it gives me time to get caught up on my homework! Once it's here I will do nothing but read until it's done, and then likely read again.
